Childcare products: standards in France

Certain safety measures should be taken to avoid all types of problems. Chewing, sucking, or sucking can sometimes be difficult, as harmful substances can sometimes be ingested by your child without knowing it. This is why the NF EN71-3 standard, allowing the control of chemical components contained in materials related to the manufacture of toys or other baby-related items, was published by the Technical Committee CEN.TC 52 in 2013. This standard therefore ensures that the manufacturer ensures the reliability of its product and this is what we apply in our process.

Other standards have been put in place to improve the peace of mind of parents and babies, such as DIN 53160-1/-2. This standard aims at testing objects, particularly for color retention. This test is important for the durability of the product and thus avoids any risks, particularly due to baby's saliva or sweat.

Pacifier clip materials

Pacifier clips are made of several materials to provide an infinite variety that can adapt to baby's desires and needs. The most commonly used material for pacifier clips remains metal for its durability despite rust. Another solid material that does not rust is stainless steel.

Regarding the pacifier clip cord, cotton, wood, silicone, nylon and even leather are among the materials used.

The vintage and authentic look of wood isn't the only advantage of this material. In fact, its durability is a major selling point, given that our toddlers love to chew and throw their toys. Wood is a healthy ally because it's not harmful to children, provided it's of high quality. Wooden toys and accessories are also environmentally friendly. This high-quality material allows toys and accessories to last longer than their plastic counterparts.

Just like wood, fabric is one of the most durable materials. Fabric toys and accessories don't break; they wear out more slowly.

The safety and health of our children are two of our top priorities. Choosing materials that undergo minimal or no processing is a guarantee of quality and safety.
Natural materials may also have undergone chemical treatments; you must be careful with varnishes and paints, but also with the glue used, because these chemical substances can be harmful.
Certain materials should be absolutely avoided, such as aluminum and zinc!

Environmentally friendly materials

Several materials are therefore used to make a pacifier clip. However, wood is the most durable material. The PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and FSC (Forest Council) labels validate the idea of a material in favor of sustainable development that respects the environment.
In fact, in the manufacture of the pacifier clip, the PEFC label requires the non-use of products that could prove toxic, particularly through the use of insecticides; a criterion that promotes baby's safety.

But that's not all! All our products are Made in France and are environmentally friendly.

How will the pacifier clip become your favorite object?

But another advantage that some do not notice at first glance is that of use as a teething object, your baby can chew to cut his teeth without there being any risk thanks to the standards that have been applied.
