The dummy clip may vary depending on the name in order to comply with the early-years safety standard NF EN 12586.
The maximum length set by the standard for dummy clips is 220 mm. This length corresponds to the total length of the chain, measured without the clip. The 220 mm length was not chosen at random, but is based on data showing that the average neck circumference of a child aged 0 to 36 months is 240 mm.
